- Protection up to $5,000,000 per person insured for eligible required care and services, including transportation, repatriation, living expenses and dental care.

- 60 to 64: 23 days
- 65 to 75: 14 days

This insurance covers trips within or outside of your province of residence, for the duration of your trip. You or family members are covered up to $2,000 per person for cancellation before departure and have
unlimited coverage in the event of trip interruption.

No matter where you are, you are covered at no extra charge when you rent a car and pay for the rental in full with your VISA Desjardins Platinum card.
- The coverage, available at no extra cost, is provided automatically by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company of Canada on two conditions:
- You use your VISA Desjardins Platinum card to pay for the entire cost of your car rental of 48 consecutive days or less.
- You decline the collision damage option offered in the rental contract.
- If you or a family member are the victim of a theft or an accident, compensation for property damage can equal the full value of the vehicle plus acceptable loss of use charges.
- Most vehicles are covered (limousines, for example, are not covered).
